Learning to live closer to God requires us to take a step beyond our current stance and move into a significantly different and more intimate relationship with God. This step should be taken consciously and deliberately.

 This spiritual journey may alter our perception of who we are and why we are here on this planet. Hopefully, it will enhance our perception of God and the divine modus operandi. It has a definite chance to push us into examining our unique purpose in life, which might undergo some serious redefining. It is designed to shake us out of any complacency we may have acquired. Ultimately, it could take us into the Holy of Holies - the awesome presence of Almighty God where anything can happen! It can change us in ways we cannot begin to imagine. It can raise us to new heights of joy and pull us into a far deeper relationship with the Holy One.

 Learning to live closer to God is only an idea at first, but as it becomes an existential reality it morphs into a whole new way of living. To believe in God is one thing; learning to live intimately with God is a totally different experience.

 Throughout this discourse there will appear a number of topics - among them: God’s presence, God’s majesty, God as mysterious companion, awareness, awe and incomprehensibility. If you are inclined to join this brigade, be open to surprise and wonder. Be prepared to change and grow  and pray it will happen to you.
